About us

In 2016 we completed a quarter of a billion pound investment in our bakeries. This has given us a fantastic foundation to build for the future: the best bakery kit in Europe and an experienced workforce.

With that in place, we have ambitious plans for the future and everyone at Allied Milling and Baking has a role to play in making them happen.

Of course, it isn't just about what we do; it's also about how we do it.

The core value we all share is to 'be the best we can be'. This is our shared aim as we strive to achieve our ambitions. Supporting this value are four behaviours that are the DNA of who we are: Aim High, Work Together, I do What I Say and Everybody Matters.

Company structure

We're one of two divisions of Allied Milling and Baking, along with Allied Mills. Together we employ around 4000 people.

Our people work in the field, at our national network of bakeries and depots, and at Kingsmill Place, our head office, where we have the following functions, each headed by a Board Director:

  • Sales
  • Marketing
  • Category
  • Operations & Supply Chain
  • HR
  • Finance

We're a decentralised business that aims to put decision-making at the lowest possible level. To support that aim, we're organised nationally, with the centre setting our strategic direction - and we operate regionally through our 10 regions, each led by a General Manager.

The regional team includes Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, Commercial - which heads up regional sales - HR and Finance.
