- Allied Bakeries 100% Recycled packaging has won
the Sustainable Pack of the Year Award at the prestigous UK Packaging Awards
2011. Our Kingsmill Little Big Loaf range and Crusts Away
was the first bread brand to use 100% Recycled packaging made from
recycled virgin waste. The 100% recycled packaging initiative is
just one part of Allied Bakeries sustainability agenda and
showcases our commitment to the environment.
- The Grocer
magazine named Allied Bakeries branded bakery supplier of the year
2011 - for the third year running. Buyers said: "Excellent new
product development, reliable supply and meticulous attention to
detail make Allied Bakeries the natural choice for this
category."
- Kingsmill Little BIG
Loaf® won Sainsbury's 2010 Best Branded New Product launch
award.
- Our drivers and safety team won the Fleet Safety
Forum Company Driver Safety Award 2009, presented to the
organisation that has implemented initiatives that do most to
promote safe driving among employees.
- In 2010, we were given a special commendation by road safety
charity Brake for our
work on driver risk assessments using crash data analysis,
telematics and driver assessor feedback.
- Our Consumer Careline has been awarded the Customer Contact
Association global standard. The highest industry-recognised
standard, it ensures we have an audited process for our regular
daily direct link to the consumer.
- In May 2011, we were named the Palmer & Harvey Plus Extra
Supplier of the Year at the Pro Retail Awards. Pro Retail is the
year's biggest event for independent and multiple convenience
retailers.
- Best Fresh Supplier in the Convenience Tracking Awards 2011.
The award is based on feedback from 400 retailers on service
including service, visits, price, promotions, incentives and
merchandising and business support.
- At the Brake Award
presentation in June 2011 Allied Bakeries received a "highly
commended" in the Company Driver Safety category. We were highly
commended for the driver wellbeing questionnaire and the
imaginative and entertaining way the results and healthy lifestyle
information was communicated to drivers.
